ABOUT
where creativity and expertise combine for the perfect garden.
Engaging a garden designer is like engaging an architect and an artist: it brings a professional structured approach as well as a creativity that brings the garden and landscape to life. No longer a luxury, a designed outdoor space creates a haven for work, rest and play.

design
We examine the space and aspect of the garden carefully – nurturing the ‘spirit of place’ is fundamental to our design. It is important that the main views, and sometimes unexpected views from the house take in the best of the garden, and in relation to the landscape we will look to frame favourite views and minimise any less pleasing views. We believe in adhering to the principles of good gardening: we ensure that beautiful plants thrive in good soil (and improve it thoroughly as required) and ensure that our planting and designs are enhanced by light changes in the garden through the day and evening. Considering seasonality is key to creating interest in the garden all year round. From a strong framework of hedges and shrubs that command attention in the winter, to an abundance of colour, texture and fragrance that blooms across the summer months, there are countless striking seasonal combinations from which to choose to enhance your garden perfectly.
We draw up plans to include, as required, hard landscaping, boundary and dividing hedges and walls, water features and lighting, and on approval of these we compose detailed planting plans based on a discussion about colour palette, trees, hedging, shrubs, grasses and perennials.
